The tikanga for the Komiti continues to emerge in hui with its members and korero with researchers who would like it's advice, guided by Te Ara Tika.
Applicants to the Komiti should use the applicable social science or health application form, and we strongly encourage getting in touch with us where those forms do not meet your needs.
If applicants such as Māori community trusts or whānau or hapū are unable to afford IHREC fees, please get in touch with us. The Komiti is able to provide pro-bono review on request.

Together, they bring extensive expertise in kaupapa Māori research, ethics, governance and community engagement, ensuring every application is reviewed with cultural integrity, independence and respect.
