These are living policies.  If you think we could express anything more clearly, or that they don't deal with some important aspect (or minor necessary aspect) of research ethics, or want to suggest improvements, please let us know. 

 

We submitted these policies as part of our request to be approved as an ethics committee by the Health Research Council Ethics Committee (HRCEC in August 2025).  This means they may change at the request of the HRCEC to better meet their needs as the statutory body empowered to approve research ethics committees (section 5, Health Research Council Act 1990).
