How does our review work?

We review on a rolling basis, meaning we have no committee meeting deadline to work towards. Once your application is submitted, we will commence the review.

Your application will be reviewed by a panel determined on the expertise required for your project.

Depending on the nature and scope of your project, we offer a social science or health-adjacent application form. We also have a By Māori For Māori Komiti pathway.

Our scoping tool below can help you determine which pathway is best for your project.

This Committee reviews health and health-related research that is not eligible for HDEC review, or for review by an Institutional Ethics Committee
